Hello, my name is Melissa.
On 11/4/2007 I was in a motorcycle accident when I was a passenger, the driver died on impact.
We hit a stop light pole going 41 miles an hour, on impact I flew 60 ft. from the motorcycle. I lived the next 5 months in hospitals/rehab facilities, learning how to walk, talk, eat...everything all over again.
I lost my job, and had to make a move to Florida away from my daughter who was 5 at the time. Now 9 years later, I am still in Florida and have started a new life.
I have had a job for the last 5 years working as a logistics specialist. I am driving, have new friendships, relationships and living my new normal.
Things are still difficult sometimes, but every day is still getting better. Life is good! ❤️
